Registration Policies

​

Semester Enrollment

• Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your child’s spot in the class.

• Monthly payments are not available, as each registration secures a reserved spot and helps us plan class sizes and availability for other families. This ensures a consistent and supportive learning environment for all participants.

• Payments can be made via card (3.5% fee), cash, or check payable to “OT Dance Studio”.

Discounts

• $50 off for additional classes or siblings.

Trial Classes

• Trial classes must be scheduled in advance and completed before the semester begins.

• A signed waiver is required before participation.

• Trial class fee: $25 (credited as the first class if the student registers for the semester).

Attire

• Students must wear a uniform, which includes a leotard, shoes, and tights.

• Water bottles are encouraged.

Refund Policy

• No refunds will be issued after the second class.

• Tuition credit is available for eligible situations.

• Refunds are not provided for missed classes, holiday closures, or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters).

• See the “Make-Up Policy” for alternatives.

• For medical emergencies, a doctor’s note is required to receive tuition credit.

Class Rules and Attendance

Attendance

• Consistent attendance is essential for student progress and a successful class environment.

• Each student holds a reserved spot in the class. Missing classes impacts the student’s progress and prevents another family on the waiting list from accessing that spot.

• Please notify the studio promptly about any absences.

Class Attire

• Proper attire is required for all classes.

• Hair must be tied back neatly.

• No food or drinks (except water) are allowed in the studio.

Punctuality

• Students must arrive on time, ready to participate.

• Parents should drop off and pick up promptly to avoid disruptions.

Make-Up Classes

• Make-up classes are allowed within the same semester in a class of the same age group and skill level.

• Must be scheduled in advance with the director.

• Make-ups cannot be carried over to future semesters.

Holiday Closures

• Please see the studio calendar for closure dates.

• The Fall semester pricing already accounts for closures due to Jewish holidays. No make-up classes are required for these closures.

Recital Participation

Performance Details

• Students in each weekly class will perform two dances in the annual recital.

Recital Requirements

• The recital date will be announced well in advance.

• Parents are responsible for purchasing costumes for performances.

• Recital tickets must be purchased in advance.

Private Lessons

• Private lessons are available to help students improve specific skills, strength, and confidence.

• Sessions must be scheduled before or after regular classes and coordinated with the director.

• Rates vary by instructor—contact us for more information.

Cancellations and Inclement Weather

• In case of inclement weather, make-up sessions may be offered.

• If rescheduling is not possible, students may attend another appropriate class within the semester.

• OT Dance Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances.

Waiver and Consent

• All students and guardians must sign a waiver before participating in any class or trial.

• March: Purim: Thursday, March 13, 2025

• April: Passover (First Days): Sunday, April 13 – Monday, April 14, 2025 Passover (Last Days): Saturday, April 19 – Sunday, April 20, 2025

• May: Memorial Day: Monday, May 26, 2025

• June: Shavuot: Monday, June 2 – Tuesday, June 3, 2025

• July: Independence Day: Friday, July 4, 2025

• September: Labor Day: Monday, September 1, 2025 Rosh Hashanah: Monday, September 22 – Wednesday, September 24, 2025

• October: Yom Kippur: Wednesday, October 1 – Thursday, October 2, 2025 Sukkot: Tuesday, October 7 – Wednesday, October 8, 2025 Shemini Atzeret & Simchat Torah: Monday, October 13 – Wednesday, October 15, 2025

• November: Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 27, 2025

• December: Last Day of Semester: Thursday, December 18, 2025 Winter Break Closure: No classes from Friday, December 19, 2025 – Friday, January 2, 2026.

No makeup classes are necessary for closure dates, as the prices have already been factored into the tuition.

Classes resume on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
